Tortilla Soup

16 oz. can of tomatos
1 med. onion chopped
2 cloves of garlic
4 T. fresh snipped cilantro
1/2 t. sugar
8 c. chicken broth
1 1/2 lbs. cubed chicken breast
2-3 chipotle peppers that are canned in adobo sauce, and a little of the adobo sauce

Shredded cheese
Chopped avocados
Tortilla chips
Sour cream

In a blender combine the first 5 ing. Blend until nearly smooth. Put mixture into pot with the next 3 ing. bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve and then top with cheese, avocados, chips, and sour cream.

This soup is Awesome! Wynnette is famous for it. You can easily use fresh tomatos, and there are always left over peppers so I always individually bag a few of them in the their adobo sauce and freeze them and they are ready for next time.

Thank you Joanna - She brought her tortilla soup over one time - I think it was when Lyndi was born. We really enjoyed it!
